SBI Clerk photo rules
- A recent passport style colour photo against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.
- A relaxed face looking straight at the camera, with no shadows or red-eye.
- No caps, hats or dark glasses. Religious headwear is fine if your face is uncovered.
- At least 8 copies of the same photo, kept for the later stages of selection.
SBI Clerk applications are for one state or UT only, and the local language test follows the main exam. Neither changes the photo rules.
How to make your SBI Clerk uploads
- Crop the photoAdd a recent colour photo here. The SBI Clerk preset is on: 200 × 230 px, JPEG, 20 to 50 KB.
- Size the signaturePhotograph your signature in black ink, choose Free, crop close, unlock the aspect ratio and type 140 × 60 px. Set Max file size to 20 KB.
- Thumb and declarationCrop the thumb impression to 240 × 240 px under 50 KB, and the hand-written declaration to 800 × 400 px under 100 KB.
- Upload each in its own slotIf a photo sits where the signature belongs, SBI won't let you sit the exam. Check each preview before you submit.
Why SBI Clerk uploads get rejected
- A photo or signature uploaded in the wrong place. SBI won't admit the candidate to the exam.
- A signature or declaration in capital letters.
- A small, blurred or dark live photo, or one with a cap or sunglasses.
- A photo or signature at the exam that doesn't match the uploaded one.
Frequently asked questions
Are the SBI Clerk and SBI PO photo sizes the same?
Yes. Both 2026 advertisements give 200 × 230 px and 20 to 50 KB for the photo, and the same sizes for the signature, thumb impression and declaration. The two applications are separate, so upload the files to each.
Where do I need the 8 photo copies?
SBI advises keeping at least 8 copies of the photo you upload, for the later stages of selection. Print them from the same photo so they match.
What if my signature comes out under 10 KB?
At 140 × 60 px a signature can fall short. Try a bigger size with the same shape, such as 280 × 120 px, or press Enlarge to fit.
Can I use my right thumb?
Yes, if you don't have a left thumb. The advertisement allows the right thumb in that case.
Is my photo uploaded to FormPic?
No. FormPic crops and compresses the image in your browser, so it never leaves your device. The only place it goes is the bank's application form.

Need a size that isn't here?
FormPic is made by one developer, Devanshu Verma. If your form asks for a photo size FormPic doesn't have yet, something didn't work, or you have an idea for a feature, send a message through the contact form on his portfolio. Size requests decide which presets come next.
For a new size, it helps to mention the form or country, the size it asks for (in mm or pixels), and any file size limit.
