What is the SSC GD photo and signature size?

Frequently asked questions
Why is the GD signature 709 × 236 pixels?
The GD notice gives the size as about 6.0 × 2.0 cm at a resolution of 300 DPI. Six centimetres at 300 DPI is 709 pixels and two centimetres is 236. Other SSC notices don't name a DPI, so FormPic uses 200 DPI there.
What counts as a miniature signature?
A small signature in a large white image, so the ink is only a fraction of the picture. Crop close and let the signature span most of the 6 cm width.
Can I wear glasses for the GD live photo?
No. The notice says not to wear a cap, mask, glasses or spectacles, and not to wear earphones or any other device while the photo is captured.
Does Aadhaar authentication help?
The notice says applications from candidates who opt for Aadhaar authentication won't be rejected because the photo or signature doesn't meet the standards. Uploading a clear signature still avoids trouble later.
Is my signature uploaded to FormPic?
No. FormPic crops and compresses the image in your browser, so it never leaves your device. The only place it goes is the SSC form.

Need a size that isn't here?
FormPic is made by one developer, Devanshu Verma. If your form asks for a photo size FormPic doesn't have yet, something didn't work, or you have an idea for a feature, send a message through the contact form on his portfolio. Size requests decide which presets come next.
For a new size, it helps to mention the form or country, the size it asks for (in mm or pixels), and any file size limit.
